(TA) Finance 4366 - Options, Futures, and Other Derivatives

Course Description: During the past few decades, there has been explosive growth in the use of derivative securities such as options and futures for managing risk. Such securities are commonly referred to as “derivatives” because their values depend upon the values of other assets. This course presents a conceptual framework for understanding how to price derivatives and design risk management strategies.

(TA) Finance 4335 - Business Risk Management

Course Description: This course offers an integrated approach to risk management by combining concepts, tools, and techniques from finance and related disciplines such as economics and the decision sciences. The course focuses attention on the identification, evaluation, pricing, and management of risk from personal as well as corporate perspectives. Topics covered include how to characterize and measure risk attitudes, compare and price risk, evaluate the effects that risk has on stakeholder incentives and firm value, etc.

Jazz Performances & Current Gigs


I am a former auditioned member of Baylor University’s Wayne Fisher Jazz Program and student of Dr. Edward Taylor and Mr. Alex Parker. In my time at Baylor, I held various performance chairs both within and outside of the School of Music. From 2017-2020, I was the drummer for the Baylor University Jazz Ensemble & the Baylor University Jazz Combo. I am also a former member of the jazz septet Seeking Changes, the jazz septet Septonic, Fifth Street Jazz Ensemble at First Baptist Church Waco, the FBC Waco Worship Orchestra, and the Concert Jazz Ensemble at Baylor University. In my four short years in Waco, Texas, I performed with Sean Jones, Chris Potter, Sim Flora, the Baylor A Capella Choir, the Baylor Chamber Singers, and toured in Washington D.C., throughout Texas, and in Lima, Peru. Currently, I live and work in the Washington, D.C. area and regularly seek performance opportunities.
